Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective August 2, 2026 · Last updated August 21, 2026

The short version

  • We collect what a detailing marketplace needs to work: who you are, where your vehicle is, what you booked, and how you paid.
  • Your detailer photographs your vehicle before and after every job. These photos may include your driveway and may carry location data. They are stored privately and used to document condition and resolve problems.
  • We never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles payments.
  • We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics trackers, or session recording on our site.
  • You can delete your account from your settings, and we will scrub your personal information.
  • We keep financial and tax records even after you delete, because the law requires it.

The full detail follows.

1. Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Jitpan LLC d/b/a Mint Coupe ("Mint Coupe," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.

It covers our website, our booking experience, and the services we provide to customers who book detailing and to detailers who perform it. Where something applies to only one group, we say so.

It does not cover what an independent detailer does with information on their own account, or what third parties do on their own sites. Detailers are independent contractors, not our employees.

4. Photographs and location

This deserves its own section, because it is the most sensitive thing we handle.

Every job is photographed. Your detailer takes at least four photographs before starting and at least four after finishing. This is required — the job cannot be started or completed in the app without them.

  • These photographs show your vehicle and its immediate surroundings, which may include parts of your driveway, garage, or property.
  • They may carry location data. When the detailer's device provides it, we store the coordinates the photo was taken at. This confirms the job happened where it was booked. When the device does not provide it, no coordinates are stored.
  • They are stored privately, not on a public URL. Access is through short-lived signed links limited to you, your detailer, and authorized staff.
  • You see before-photos once the job starts and after-photos once it completes.

We use them to document your vehicle's condition, investigate quality disputes and damage claims, respond to payment chargebacks, and enforce our terms.

We do not use photographs of your vehicle or property for marketing or public display without asking you first. Detailers are separately prohibited from publishing them without your permission.

5. Payments

We never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or bank account number. Payments and payouts run through Stripe, which collects those details directly.

We store what we need to show you your own history and to charge you again if you ask us to: a Stripe customer reference, a payment method reference, and your card's brand, last four digits, and expiry.

Stripe processes your information under its own privacy policy. For detailers, Stripe also collects identity and tax information to verify your payout account.

6. Information collected automatically

When you use the site we receive ordinary technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and timestamps. Our hosting and database providers keep server logs containing this.

We do not run analytics products, advertising pixels, session recording, heatmaps, or cross-site trackers. We are not saying we minimise them — at the time of writing there are none in the product at all.

7. Cookies

We use cookies for one purpose: keeping you logged in. These are strictly necessary session and authentication cookies. Without them the site cannot work.

We set no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies.

If that changes — if we ever add analytics or advertising — we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

8. How we use your information

  • To provide the service — create your account, match you with a detailer, schedule and run the job, take payment, pay detailers.
  • To communicate — booking confirmations, reminders, arrival notices, receipts, and service updates.
  • To connect you and your detailer through masked phone numbers (Section 10).
  • To handle problems — investigate disputes, damage claims, and chargebacks, and issue refunds.
  • To keep the marketplace safe — verify detailers, screen for fraud, enforce our terms, and investigate misuse.
  • To meet legal obligations — tax reporting, sales tax remittance, and responding to lawful requests.
  • To improve the service — understand what is and is not working. We do this from our own records, not from third-party tracking.
  • To send marketing, only if you have opted in (Section 9).

9. Text messages and email

Transactional messages — confirmations, reminders, arrival notices, and problem alerts — are part of the service and arrive by email. We send them by text only if you opt in by checking the optional consent box shown where you enter your number; texting is not a condition of purchase.

We do not send marketing by text. Occasional offers and tips are a separate, off-by-default email preference — you must turn it on, and you can turn it off any time in your notification preferences. For texts: reply STOP to any text to stop them, HELP gets you help. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.

We record your opt-out choices so we can honour them.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Opting out of transactional messages may prevent us delivering time-sensitive information about a booking.

10. Masked calls and texts

Once a booking is confirmed, you and your detailer can call and text each other through a Mint Coupe number that hides both real numbers. Neither of you sees the other's actual phone number.

To do this we store both real numbers, the masking number, and the messages exchanged. Messages pass through our systems and may be retained and reviewed for safety, support, and dispute resolution. The connection closes when the job reaches a final state.

11. Who we share information with

We share only what each party needs.

Between you and your detailer. Your detailer receives your first name, the service address, vehicle details, access instructions, and your booking. They reach you only through the masked number. You receive your detailer's name, photo, rating, and work vehicle details.

our accredited third-party screening providerDetailer background screening

Each is bound by contract to use the information only to provide their service to us.

Others, when necessary: professional advisers; law enforcement or regulators where legally required; a party to a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (we will tell you if that happens); and anyone else you explicitly ask us to share with.

12. Detailer background checks

If you apply to detail, we obtain a background check through our accredited third-party screening provider after you consent.

Scope: criminal history (county, state, and national records) and identity verification.

Not included: no credit check, no financial or banking review.

This is a consumer report under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. Before we take adverse action based on it, you will receive a copy of the report, a summary of your FCRA rights, and a reasonable opportunity to dispute its accuracy.

Customers never see background-check results — only whether a detailer is approved.

13. What we do not do

Stated plainly because these are the questions people actually have:

  • We do not sell your personal information. Not to data brokers, not to anyone.
  • We do not share your information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on our site.
  • We do not use your data to train machine learning models, and we do not sell it to anyone who does.
  • We do not give detailers your real phone number, and we do not give customers a detailer's real number.
  • We do not sell or publish photographs of your vehicle or property.

If any of this changes, we will update this policy and tell you before it takes effect.

14. How long we keep information

While your account is open, we keep what we need to run the service.

After you delete your account (Section 15), we scrub your personal information but keep certain records, because we are required to:

RetainedWhy
Payment, payout, commission, and refund recordsTax and accounting law
Sales tax recordsState remittance obligations
Dispute, damage claim, and chargeback recordsLegal claims and card network rules
Booking records tied to the aboveThey are the evidence the financial records refer to

These retained records are de-identified — your name, email, and phone are replaced with placeholders, so the financial history stays intact and reconcilable without continuing to identify you.

Job photographs are kept while your account is open, so they remain available if a damage claim or payment chargeback arrives late. They are deleted when you delete your account, both the images themselves and their records. We do not currently apply a fixed time-based deletion schedule to photographs; if we adopt one, we will state the period here.

15. Your choices and rights

You can, at any time:

  • See and update your information in your account settings.
  • Change your notification preferences, including turning marketing off.
  • Reply STOP to any text.
  • Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete your account — see below.

Deleting your account. Request it from your account settings. When you do:

  • We scrub your personal information — your name and phone become placeholders and your email is replaced with a permanent non-deliverable address. This is irreversible; we keep no way to reverse it.
  • We keep the de-identified financial and dispute records described in Section 14.
  • Deletion is blocked while you have loose ends, and we will tell you which: an open dispute or damage claim, a pending payout, or an upcoming booking. Resolve those and the request goes through.

North Carolina does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law, and the rights above are ones we offer to everyone regardless of where you live rather than ones we are compelled to give. If you live somewhere with specific statutory rights — or if that changes in North Carolina — we will honour what the law requires.

To exercise any of these, email mintcoupeservices@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

16. Security

We protect information with access controls, encryption in transit, private (non-public) file storage with short-lived signed links, hashed passwords, and one-time phone verification codes stored only as hashes, never in readable form.

Access is limited to staff who need it.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that a determined attacker will never succeed. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Tell us immediately at mintcoupeservices@gmail.com if you think your account has been compromised.

17. Children

Mint Coupe is for adults. You must be 18 or older to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the account. If you believe a child has given us information, contact mintcoupeservices@gmail.com.

18. Where your information is held

We operate in the United States and our providers store and process information there. If you use Mint Coupe from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from your own.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version number and "last updated" date at the top will change.

For material changes — a new category of information, a new purpose, a new kind of sharing, or any change to Section 13 — we will give you advance notice by email or in the app before it takes effect.

We will not apply a materially different use to information already collected without telling you first.
